Georgia Solomou
Founder & President

Georgia is a dynamic and results-driven professional with 20 years of experience in technology security across EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa). She currently serves as Managing Partner at OSPHERA.  With strong business acumen and exceptional communication skills, she collaborates with governments, financial institutions, and enterprises to strengthen their fraud prevention strategies. Her expertise spans Total Fraud Protection, Threat Landscape Assessment, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Email Security, Authentication, Transaction Analysis, and Endpoint Protection, delivering tailored solutions to address complex and evolving security challenges.


Georgia has also joined the newly launched Global 50x50 Initiative as co-leader of the European Regional Working Group. This grassroots movement—led by the Center for Cyber Safety and Education—aims to elevate women’s voices, innovation, and leadership in cybersecurity. The initiative strives to build a more resilient and sustainable cyber workforce by ensuring that women make up 50% of the global cybersecurity workforce by 2050.


Through Women4Cyber Cyprus, part of the broader Women4Cyber Foundation under the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO), Georgia continues to inspire, support, and advance the participation of women in cybersecurity. The Cyprus chapter actively promotes awareness, professional development, and community-building, contributing to a stronger and more diverse cybersecurity ecosystem.

Dr. Celia Hadjichristodoulou
Board Member

Celia is the Founder and Managing Director of GrantXpert Consulting. Her company specializes in providing consulting and training services in relation to EU funding programmes, having secured over 100 million EUR in funding since 2009.

 

Celia graduated with First Class Honours in Accounting and Finance from the LSE in 2003. She earned her MPhil in Management Studies from the University of Cambridge in 2004. In 2013, she completed her PhD studies at the Management School of the University of Sheffield.

 

Celia is an accredited HRDA trainer and she conducts interactive courses on topics like “Accessing EU and National Funding,” “Boosting Leadership, Employability and Entrepreneurial Skills” and “Developing and Promoting Managers into Effective Leaders”.

 

From 2005 until 2000 she worked as a Visiting Lecturer at local Business Schools (EUC, CIIM, CIM), on entrepreneurship development, professional career development and strategy. Furthermore, she is the Administrative Director at the Future Skills Hub of the European University Cyprus.

 

Celia received the Madame Figaro “Businesswoman of the Year Award” in 2018.  In 2024 Celia was recognized as one of LinkedIn's Top Voices in Leadership Development.

Dr. Yianna Danidou
Board Member

Yianna is an Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity at European University Cyprus (EUC) and Director of CYBER.EUC, the university’s cybersecurity competence center. She holds a PhD in Law and IT from the University of Edinburgh, an M.Sc. in Advanced Computing from the University of Bristol, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus.


With over nine years of experience as a Research Associate at CERIDES, she has been actively involved in EU-funded projects on cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection. Her work bridges law and technology, with a focus on cybercrime, cybersecurity education, AI and its security implications, digital forensics, electronic evidence, liability, and the ethical challenges of emerging technologies.


Yianna has published in peer-reviewed journals and books, and she serves on advisory boards and as a reviewer for several academic journals. She is frequently invited to contribute as an expert to European research projects and to deliver talks, seminars, and workshops on privacy, cybersecurity, and information security.


At EUC, she teaches computer science and cybersecurity at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, mentoring students and future professionals. Passionate about connecting research with real-world impact, she also organizes conferences and events that highlight the legal and technical dimensions of cybersecurity in today’s digital society.

Efi Pilava
Board Member

Efi Pilava is an educator and Museum Education Advisor with long-standing experience in visual arts education and museum learning in Cyprus. Efi works as a Primary School Teacher specializing in Visual Arts and also as a Museum Education Advisor, designing and coordinating educational programs for children in galleries and museums.   


Since 2024, Efi has served as the elected Secretary of the Nicosia School Board, holding a key institutional role with responsibility for school infrastructure, financial management, auxiliary and support staff, and the effective operation of school facilities, including sports and multi-purpose spaces.


Efi also serves as President of the Art Group of POED Nicosia, collaborating with universities, municipalities, cultural institutions, and artists on teacher professional development, arts education training, and the implementation of creative educational events for children and families.


Efi’s professional interests include cultural diplomacy, with a focus on the role of culture and education in public dialogue, collective memory, and international engagement, particularly within European contexts.


More recently, Efi has become actively engaged in digital literacy for children, with an emphasis on early awareness, online safety, and critical, responsible participation in digital environments.  Efi plays an active role on the of the Hackshield gaming platform at Women4Cyber Cyprus.
