Digital Era and AI

Women4Cyber Cyprus co-organized the event along with The Office of the Commissioner of Communications and DiGiNN with the title “Digital Era and Artificial Intelligence: Safeguarding Society and the Economy from Potential Risks”, bringing together professionals and enthusiasts from the fields of technology and cybersecurity. 


The event explored the opportunities and challenges of Artificial Intelligence, emphasizing the importance of security, ethics, and trust in the digital transformation of society and the economy. A keynote address by Ms. Despina Spanou, Deputy Director-General at DG CNECT of the European Commission, highlighted the role of trust in shaping Europe’s digital future. The event concluded with insightful discussions led by distinguished panelists and moderators, fostering meaningful dialogue on safeguarding society and the economy in the digital age.


Women4Cyber Cyprus continues to invest in initiatives that inform, empower, and support the Cypriot community in transitioning to a safe and resilient digital future.

Cyber Security for All

In October 2025, Women4Cyber Cyprus actively participated in Cyber Security for All, a nationwide event dedicated to cultivating a culture of cybersecurity across all age groups. Through interactive activities and informative presentations, the team highlighted the importance of digital safety and empowering citizens in the online space. 

A special focus was given to the educational game HackShield, which helps children and teenagers recognize cyber threats through fun, engaging missions. Participants had the opportunity to experience the game, learn basic online protection principles, and develop critical digital literacy skills. 


The team’s presence reinforced Women4Cyber Cyprus’s mission to promote knowledge, prevention, and safety in cyberspace, especially for children and youth.

Girls2Cyber 

Women4Cyber Cyprus is also part of the European Erasmus+ GIRLS2CYBER program, aimed at empowering girls aged 12–15 in cybersecurity. The program fosters digital skills through modern, interactive, and youth-friendly educational activities. Through workshops, collaborative games, and hands-on experiences, GIRLS2CYBER helps young girls build confidence, recognize online risks, and develop skills that will support their future engagement with technology.


Women4Cyber Cyprus’s involvement strengthens its commitment to promoting equality and access for girls to learning opportunities in cybersecurity,contributing to the development of a new generation of informed and capable digital citizens.

Women4Cyber Cyprus at European Parliament


Women4Cyber Cyprus represented by Georgia Solomou, participated in a high-level meeting in June 2025 at the European Parliament, dedicated to advancing a more inclusive and equitable cybersecurity future. 

The meeting brought together key European stakeholders and was hosted by MEP Lina Gálvez, with contributions from representatives of the Women4Cyber Foundation, the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO), and EU institutions.   

The discussion underscored the collective responsibility of cybersecurity and the importance of allyship in achieving gender equality in the field. Personal insights shared by senior EU representatives reinforced the urgency of action to ensure equal opportunities for all.   

Women4Cyber reaffirms its commitment to Cyber Equality and to the shared vision of achieving 50/50 gender balance in cybersecurity by 2050.
